Roni is proud to have worked with hundreds of special needs families, providing individualized bio-nutritional support for autism/ASD and a variety of other conditions. Her personal mission is to help identify the underlying causes of symptoms and understand and harness the immense power of food and nutrition to help heal chronic conditions and support vitality.
Roni’s passion for holistic nutrition began in her youth when she entered the world of alternative health through her study of herbal medicine. Excited by the power that herbs and food have to heal, she left to study at Bastyr University in Seattle, Washington, the world’s leading academic center for natural health sciences. It was there that she discovered her passion for science-based, holistic nutrition. Months after graduating, she moved to South Florida and began to work with holistic pediatrician, Dr. David Berger, learning about the use of special diets and nutritional care of children on the autistic spectrum using an individualized biomedical approach. Today, after over 15 years of service to the autism community, Roni is more passionate than ever about using this powerful method to support children and their families.
Her credentials: Roni holds both a BSc and MSc in Nutrition Sciences and a PhD in an autism-related field. She is a Certified Nutrition Specialist (CNS), a Licensed Dietitian-Nutritionist (LDN, State of MD) and a practitioner of the biomedical approach advocated by the Autism Research Institute.
Other professional interests: Roni enjoys writing about nutrition and healthy lifestyle and helped author The Original Prescription book with Thomas Guilliams, PhD. Roni’s writing has been published in peer-reviewed journals, magazines, blogs and books. She has also served as nutrition consultant and writer for various food and nutrition-related businesses.
